SVAC/ISOCInstrument Analysis Meeting, April 14, 2006 Anders W. Borgland 1 The LAT In Every Which Way You Want It! Anders W. Borgland Science Verification, Analysis and Calibrations / ISOC

SVAC/ISOCInstrument Analysis Meeting, April 14, 2006 Anders W. Borgland 2 LAT Horizontally First End2End runs are here: –LAT Horizontally: –This is how we will run at NRL! –Important to understand what the data looks like before we ship the LAT! –Half the runs with the VDG in parasitic mode: –No change in detector occupancy seen! –Nor was it expected! –Photon rate <1 Hz in the LAT Run numbers: –All runs: – – – –With VDG on: – Trigger rate: –About 290 Hz vs 520 Hz in the vertical position No periodic trigger yet! Cal configuration (thresholds): –Updated from January –No more hot LACs! All files and ntuples can be found using the runs database.

SVAC/ISOCInstrument Analysis Meeting, April 14, 2006 Anders W. Borgland 3 You Don't Believe Me? The LAT was really flipped on its side: Z-direction of reconstructed track Horizontal Vertical Last Saturday! Usually we see....

SVAC/ISOCInstrument Analysis Meeting, April 14, 2006 Anders W. Borgland 4 LAT Horizontally As Seen In The CAL Average number of xtals hit in the CAL Horizontal Vertical

SVAC/ISOCInstrument Analysis Meeting, April 14, 2006 Anders W. Borgland 5 LAT Vertical LAT 70x preliminary runs: –New default run type: – – – – LAT 71x preliminary runs: –New 'B10' i.e. Muon gain and 4-range readout of some trigger engines: – – – Hardware configuration: –'x' in 70x and 71x represents which parts of the LAT that are on': –Which EPUs, primary or redundant GASU etc –Will post a list of the different hardware configurations on the IA page: –But you shouldn't worry about which EPU processed your event! Cal configuration (thresholds): –Updated from January –No more hot LACs! In the runs database: –Both of these configurations appear as 'intSeApp' (Script name) and have no End2End ID.

SVAC/ISOCInstrument Analysis Meeting, April 14, 2006 Anders W. Borgland 6 LAT Vertical: End2End Runs End2End runs: –Starting on Monday! –Will run 12 nights: –Plan is for a total of 48h of data –Run length changed: –To maximize efficiency –30 minute runs: »1M events/run –File size estimates: –Merit ntuple : 450 MB –SVAC ntuple: 1.7 GB –Digi : 600 MB –CalTuple : 375 MB –Recon : 9 GB We will process the data as it comes in. Will keep an updated list of 'Good' runs on the web. Analysis tasks: See Eduardo's talk!
