What is disruptive in class?

Youtube is full of distracting videos that will cause students to lose focus. For some reason, kids would just rather watch some kid ride their bike into a pool than listen to a teacher.

Biggest distraction because they can be used without computers. Kids can cheat by texting answers to others.

Kids will be looking for more music to download or have head phones on listening to it. Very easy to tune out teacher.

ADHD is a neurobehavioral developmental disorder. Concentration Mason W.

ADHD Music Studies -Some people use music to keep them focused on the topic they are trying to focus on - People who have ADHD will sometimes use music to block other things going on around them. For example, if you are a person with ADHD and you are in class and you are working on an assignment while the rest of the class is acting up it is harder for you to pay attention. So you grab your ipod and start playing music. Then you can’t hear all of the commotion going on around you, and you are able to focus on what is more important. ADHD Studies

Cell Phones - Cell phones usually have a calendar that you can use for planning. - You can also set whatever you need to remember for that day on your wallpaper. - There is also a website called dial2do.com that you can set up on your computer, that sends messages to remind you things you need to do that day.

-Students can collaborate in the classroom with their cell phones by uploading video tutorials for the class they are in by using skpe. - Modern cell phones offer a variety of capabilities, which are being used effectively by educators in different schools to support curricular learning objectives and boost student achievement.

Do you wish your class could learn elsewhere from the inside of your classroom? Well now they can; with skype you can connect your students to anyone, anywhere, anytime so they can learn what you are trying to teach them. Skype is the tool for having class outside of your classroom

 The Opportunities  The Evidence

I was a member of the history group in the Flint River Immersion Project. We took a boat ride five miles along the river and observed the surroundings along the banks of river. We also went to Mr. Kenneth Deese’s river house and examined his fossil collection and other treasures from the river that he has found over the years from diving and exploring the river. The other person we interviewed was Mr. Glynn Cox. He also had a collection that was really similar to Mr. Deese’s. Mr. Cox also had a great knowledge of the river’s history.
