BACKGROUND b b As an exercise during the Atlanta workshop, teams were established to examine and recommend solutions to major problems which are inherent in the Seat Integration and/or IFE program industry. The following participants in this particular group undertook the issue of communications and management of the IFE program as the task to examine and recommend positive rectification to the WAEA members and the IFE/Airline community for input and resolution.

Problem/Issue   There is a need for a standard method in establishing roles, responsibilities and contractual links between the various vendors in support of an IFE program for both “New” aircraft programs and “Retrofits” of aircraft. There are many problems that arise in an IFE program due to the lack of expedient information dissemination, unclear responsibility roles and ripple effect changes that jeopardize delivery dates
