Introduction to Chemistry Chemistry is the study of matter. Matter is anything that takes up space and has mass. All matter is made up of small particles.
How do atoms change???? IONS & ISOTOPES. IONS 1.In a neutral atom, the # of protons = # of electrons (because the signs balance each other out). 2.Atoms.
When an atom gains or loses electrons they become electrically charged particles called When an atom gains or loses electrons they become electrically.

+ Uses for Gold  CoinsMedals NecklacesTrophies BraceletsElectronics DecorationsStatues

+ Group Characteristics and Information Found in Nature Un-reactive Period Number: 6 Group Number: 11 Group Name: Transition Metals Atomic Number: 79

+ Gold (Au)

+ Gold Atomic Structure

+ Gold is unreactive because all the noble gases have a stable electronic configuration, and therefore they would not share their electrons with other atoms.

+ The difference between the atomic mass and mass number of gold is that the average mass is the protons and neutrons combined. The mass number the amount of protons only. The mass number is 189 and the atomic number is 79. The mass number is larger than the atomic number.

Gold may be old, but we always get it sold!

+ Thanks for watching, even though you had no choice ;D
