Location Antigua is its own country and it’s near the continent of South America. Hon Baldwin Spencer is the prime minister. Antigua is in the North-Western Hemisphere. The coordinates or Absolute location would be 20 degrees north and 65 degrees west. The neighboring countries are Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago.

Place The climate of Antigua is a tropical climate which is found in the south Caribbean Sea. The landforms that are found in Antigua are mountains, hills, and coral reefs. One of the largest mountains in Antigua is called Mount Obama. Most of the land in Antigua is used for buildings, resorts, and construction area also it is surrounded by ocean. As of 2010’s census there are 82,000 people living on Antigua.

Human-Environment Interactions The environment in Antigua is warm year round, partly because it’s so close to the equator. People have adapted to the environment by making houses accustomed to the heat. People have also adapted by wearing light clothes and visiting the beach frequently. People have modified the environment by making a civilization and making it a popular tourist spot. People have depended on Antigua by using it’s sugar canes. People also depend on the environment’s coral reefs to attract tourists. The effects of changes in the environment are that more tourists come to Antigua. The dry climate allows tourists to come year-round.

Regions Antigua is part of North America. Antigua is it’s own country. The people who live on Antigua mainly speak English. Locals may speak some Antiguan Creole. Others may also speak Spanish. On Sundays many people like to go to the beach. The Antiguan population for 2011 is 87,884. Some landforms are beaches and mountains. Antigua is an island, so it would have beaches. I looked up some pictures and found lots of mountains and hills.
