Evolution Theory History and Problems, Examples of Bias and Fraud in the Theory

2 Historical Science (Beliefs/Interpretations about the past)

Basis of Evolution is Uniformitarianism Geologists J. Hutton and C Lyell promoted uniformitarianism, and rejected the biblical account and the flood. Lyell strongly influenced Darwin in a belief of millions of yrs of gradual history Lyell gave a false report of Niagara Falls erosion at 1ft/yr to fit his theories; Lyell had an agenda. Today many geologists agree with neo- catastrophism, and that most sedimentary layers were deposited very quickly

Finely bedded and horizontally layered central deposit at Mount St. Helens

Sandstone lithosome at the base of the Sauk Sequence

Fossil Fish

Fish Fossil-Rot

To a neo-catastrophist, the rocks show evidence of rapid catastrophic processes, requiring little time for deposition. Time passes between the layers where there is no evidence.

2 Theories 1 st Fact? 2 nd Myth? Fact- the sedimentary layers with sea fossils some are over a mile above the sea. Assumption 1-Deposited rapidly by local floods, but layers are separated by millions of yrs., multiple uplifts- Conventional Geology Assumption 2- Deposited in a 1 yr global flood, Massive volcanism and plate tectonics, a big uplift, and there is evidence of smooth layer bending –Biblical Geology

Grand Canyon—90 degree bend

Definitions* Microevolution= small changes in species We all believe Macroevolution= molecules to man evolution and tree of all life Only evolutionist’s believe Biblical Kinds allow for variation in kinds DNA is huge mental information code Biogenesis= Life only comes from life

Examples of Fraud in Evolution Piltdown Man- an ape’s jaw was attached to a human skull Nebraska man- was wrongly based on a pig’s tooth* Haeckel Embryos- Falsified diagrams used 50 yrs in textbooks C. Lyell, “Principles of Geology” false report on Niagara falls erosion 1ft/yr rather than 4-5ft/yr

Fuzzy Words We believe We think Must have Could have Might have Our opinion is We guess Over millions of years No observable evidence

Scientific American, July, 2002 “… laying the foundation for cellular biochemistry. Astrochemical analysis hint that quantities of these compounds might have originated in space and fallen to earth in comets, a scenario that may solve the problem of how these constituents arose under the conditions that prevailed when our planet was young.”

Niagara Falls Erosion- 4-5/ ft/yr.

Fossil Fraud Archaeraptor-Claimed dinosaurs turned into birds- a dinosaur tail attached to a bird* Pakicetus - a land mammal turned into a whale? later found not related to marine mammals Pepper moths- dead moths were glued to the tree and photographed – this is variation in kind

Haeckel's Lie

Summary, Bias, Fraud Historical Science uses many assumptions There are many holes and inconsistencies and it is unlikely this all occurred by chance Movie: Expelled, No Intelligence Allowed Haeckel falsification, Ape to Man mistakes Lyell false report Niagara falls erosion Archaeoraptor, Pakicetus, Peppered Moths,

World Views

Naturalism, Evolution Cannot account for the laws of logic and math, Human Consciousness, Memory reliability, Uniformity of Laws in Nature How can all the above occur by chance? Can only account for morals and ethics as relative and changeable standards. Is often inconsistent when applied to our lives
