ArchiCAD ModelSolibri Model Checker Energy+ Input File The geometry was constructed in 3-D form using ArchiCAD An exported IFC representation of the model is checked by Solibri Model Checker Geometry was converted to a text input file which can be used by Energy+

Difficulties in Geometry Preparation Double height spaces within the gallery Complex room shapes involving curved walls and pop- out windows Losses in information using IFCtoIDF translator

Instantiating the Model All material properties were found as accurately as possible using CIBSE and manufacturer’s data Research into the occupancy of the building, i.e. opening hours, busiest times of the day A survey of the lighting fixtures was carried out HVAC components were modelled as accurately as possible

CSV Energy+ Output: Energy+ produces a CSV output file which can be imported into any spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel End User Graphics: The results are used to produce graphs which can illustrate anything from the zone temperature to thermal comfort level to the amount of energy consumed

Difficulties in Simulation It was hard to find out the correct way to control a system using the various set point managers The Ground Source Heat Pump proved unworkable within EnergyPlus Future Work Compare the output of the simulation model with the BMS data coming from the Glucksman
