The Persistence of Memory Salvador Dali

Context in the Work In the center of the work there is the monster. Possibly self portrait. Soft watches show the decay of mankind. Land shown to be hard as a contrast to the “softness” and represents Gala as a hard protection. The ants also show how time is rigid and temporary. Later remade showing the effects of the Atomic Bomb. Also later had one addition of a fish to show new life.
