Presentation transcript:

A giant planet orbiting the ‘extreme horizontal branch’ star V391 Pegasi Silvotti, R. et al., Nature 449, 13 September 2007.

The pulsational spectrum of V391 Pegasi exhibits 4 or 5 pulsation periods between 342s and 354s. The largest two amplitudes of pulsations are 1% and 0.4%.

They reported the discovery of a planetary-mass body (Msini=3.2M J ) orbiting the V391 Pegasi at a distance of about 1.7 AU with period of 3.2 years. Summary Thank you~~~~~~ XD
