Getting Ready for the Study Abroad Experience REQUIREMENT D1: ONLINE PRE-DEPARTURE & IN-COUNTRY COURSE 1 credit Winter or Summer Term (P/F) running throughout your program abroad Provides knowledge and skills SA participants need to make the most of their experience. Strategies, knowledge, and skills from the Pre-Departure Portion for: * determining personal goals * understanding cultural and social characteristics of SA destination(s) * exploring global and local differences * understanding intercultural adjustment and communication

REQUIREMENT D3: 90 / 492 CAPSTONE SEMINAR 2/4-credit regular semester course right upon return from you SA Experience (Letter Grade). Required upon return (semester immediately following return to Binghamton) Provides students with the learning context to integrate skills and knowledges acquired throughout the Minor Requires students to complete their Professional Interest Project (seeds are found in their work of 394) Upon Return from your Study Abroad Experience GLST 490
