The Assessment Process Assessment committee with 3 members (professors, associate professors or equivalent), one member from same institution (normally chairman), 2 members from other institutions. Supervisor can’t be member, but takes part in the work of the committee without voting rights Preliminary assessment – committee submits a recommendation stating whether the dissertation fulfils the requirements for the award of a Ph.D. degree.
