They are named from the Greek word meaning "good news" and occupy a central place in Sacred Scripture.

What are the Gospels?

The twenty-seven books inspired by the Holy Spirit and written in apostolic times that center on Jesus Christ.

What is The New Testament?

Their name means "five containers". They are also called the Torah.

What is the Pentateuch?

From the Latin word meaning "holy writings", another name for the collection of writings God has inspired the authors to write in His name.

What is Sacred Scripture?

A solemn agreement of fidelity that God and His people enter into. Jesus Christ renewed and fulfilled the new and everlasting one.

What is a Covenant?
