Three Cups of Tea One Man's Mission to Promote Peace... One School at a Time

Why I Want to Help

Education During Taliban rule, only 800,000 children were in school Today 8.5 million children are in school Includes 2 million girls

When You Educate a Girl... Smaller and healthier families Increased wages and lifetime earnings More likely to send her children to school Less likely to let her children participate in extremist activities More likely to participate in the political process Girls’ education, has the overall largest returns on economic growth for a developing society.

How it Affects You War is expensive and paid for by YOU Heightened security embedded in regular tasks Interconnect global economy

Pennies for Peace Started as one of the first donations to this cause 1 penny = one pencil 15 pennies = one notebook $2 or $3 = one teacher’s salary for one day $20 = one student’s school supplies for one year $600 = one teacher’s annual salary $5,000 = support for existing school for one year
