THE NEW LEARNING ENVIRONMENT: HYBRID DESIGNS FOR HYBRID LEARNING BY DR KENN FISHER

There is a need to design spaces which intentionally support student-centred learning strategies –Understand the potential directions for future pedagogy –Need to consider the full range of spaces for learning –Students studying in formal and informal spaces –Designing all spaces are conducive to promoting learning for all students –Learning spaces should be rooted in an understanding of the ways in which students engage with the campus –Research indicates that there is a significant variation by class year in the manner in which students use space

Need to align space with learning styles & student needs
