Suggestions Governmental department should pay more attention to safety on construction sites. Management of the industry needs to be strengthened.
Emphasis of precautionary idea on safety. Spread knowledge of experience and technology on safety. Bring in life insurance mechanism for workers on sites.
Conclusion Age of the casualties have insignificant relation to the accidents. The most dangerous period: workers with 5-year work experience and during 1-30 weeks on site.
Common accidents: struck by objects, falling from height, bumbling, cutting, straining and electrocuting. Dangerous locations: hoists, holes and wells, scaffoldings, cranes and ladders, etc.
Activities in accidents: scaffolding work, earth work, piling, formwork, concreting and mechanical maintenance. Contribution: Government, industry and education.
