Shared Surfaces eut Odul AKYAPI APPOINTED TECHNOLOGY: GESTURE DETECTION TECHNOLOGY Gesture detecting technology, allows the user to control the sofware by motion. The developed technolgy suggests that the famous Minority Report crime department fantasy is no fantasy. One of the developed techniques is already on market, Playstation has develpoed the “Eyetoy”, a camera attached via USB connection, detects the motions of the player and sends the video feed as the player’s moves. Another technique is already in market as a virtual keyboard, the keyboard is projected on a surface, the moves of the fingers is detected as decided controlling.

Shared Surfaces eut Odul AKYAPI FOUND TECHNOLOGY SMART CHAIR TECHNOLOGY Sitting is a general activity of the body. A large portion of the day is occupied with activities done while sitting; driving, tranportation, office work, school hours… Most designers are focused on the ergonomics of sitting, the major improvements are directed at the field of ergonomics mostly at office environment. One of the projects in smart technology directed at chair design is the augmented smart chair project: It aims to build a smart chair by making it aware of the user's activities (posture, movement, and "sitting habits") and to augment it with feedback mechanisms that assist the user in a friendly manner. Another project is V. Smart Intelligent Chair : Automatically senses the weight of each user as they sit on the chair and automatically adjusts tension according to the user’s body weight, giving optimum active support, balance

Shared Surfaces eut Odul AKYAPI SYNTHESIS INTELLIGENT DESK ENVRONMENT SMART ELECTRONICS ARE SPREADING INTO MOST OF THE CONSUMER GOODS ELECTRONICS ARE INTEGRATED INTO FURNITURE AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS. A SMART DESK FOR THE OFFICE WORKER SYMPATHISING WITH THE WORKERS NEEDS : A CHAIR THAT SENSES THE BAD POSTURE AND VIBRATE, SWELL UP AND MAKE THE WORKER SIT IN THE PROPER POSITION A DESK THAT UNDERSTANDS AND PREDICTS AND MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE USER projecting the keyboard as the computer is turned on. mouse appears out of its “nest” delivering the notebook and the pen out for hardcopy note taking Etc. See sketch
