Project Description 3. Teach one course for one semester in each university’s Library and Information Science program The University of Oklahoma’s School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) program La programa de Bibliotecología y Ciencia de la Información de la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú

Prior to the Exchange Project  The exchange librarians will be in contact with each other in order to determine what is needed for each library’s collection project  The exchange librarians will work with the heads of each LIS program to develop a course to teach based on their skills and experience and the needs of the school

Project Outcomes Why is this project important? Who will benefit?  Short term:  The exchange librarians will assist in enhancing or creating a literature collection at each institution’s library  The exchange librarians will provide a new perspective to the Library and Information Science programs at each exchange institution

Project Outcomes Why is this project important? Who will benefit?  Long term:  The exchange librarians will continue to improve and develop the collections started by the exchange librarians upon returning home  The exchange librarians will encourage future international exchange opportunities

Project Assessment  The Head Humanities Librarians at each institution will assess…  The number of items added to each collection  Adherence to Collection Development Plan  Regular professional duties in the library

Project Assessment  The Heads of each LIS program will assess the performance of the librarians…  Each librarian will be monitored throughout the course to ensure successful teaching  The LIS students of both courses will complete an evaluation form of the classes and professors at the end of term
