Virostek - LBNL Page 5 Joint Bellows Specification  Hyspan Precision Products, Inc.  Series 7500 formed metal bellows (75101S)  54” I.D. x 57” O.D. x 2” long x 0.030” thick  36 psi (2.4 atm) maximum pressure  8800 lb/in axial spring rate  40,700 lb/in lateral spring rate  +0.90” axial deflection for 2000 cycles  Bellows cost: $1500 to $2000

Virostek - LBNL Page 6 Other Joint Issues/Information  Bellows with flanges would be welded to both sides of RF Modules  Bellows can accommodate large axial, pitch and yaw misalignments between vessels  Lateral and roll misalignments are provided for by oversized holes in flanges  Magnetic forces are not transmitted through the joint (taken to the floor by supports)  Adaptor plate to detector modules would incorporate bellows assembly
