What is Diversity?  What does “Diversity” mean to you?

What Did You See?  Did you form a mental picture of someone?  Who makes you feel uncomfortable? What are your stereotypes?  If a stranger looks at you, what kind of stereotypes might they see?  How would that make you feel?

What is Diversity?  Diversity “We seek to treat all individuals with dignity and fairness and to promote understanding and respect for diversity of perspectives, traditions, and experiences.”  Have you ever felt “different” from those around you? When? What could they have done to help you feel included?
