 To bridge the gap in infrastructure facilities at local level.  Strengthening of triple level of Panchayati Raj Institutions.  Strengthening and Commercially help of Panchayati Raj Institutions for preparation of projects its implementation and investigation’s stages.  Lover down the in Infant Mortality and Mother Morality Rates.  To create housing facilities for BPL families and SC, ST families.  To improve communication facilities form district level to block level and from block level to village level. INTRODUCTION Ashoknagar District is divided into four tehsils, and has population of 6,88,940 spread over area of sq.km. The block boundaries are conterminous with tehsil boundary. LOCATION Ashoknagar is situated on the Western Railway’s broad gauge line of the Kota-Bina Section. Another rail link, viz., The total rail length passes through in the district is about 141 Km. The trains are available for Kota, Bina, Ujjain, Indore and Gwalior. Ashoknagar District is well connected with State Capital of M.P. & Other parts of India by Road and rail. Ashoknagar is situated on the State Highway. It is Well connected with its surrounding district namely Guna, Vidisha and Shivpuri.

Strengths Use in BRGF Programme Better and maximum use of Infrastructure without load. Best Implementation of project under experienced trained Panchayati Raj Institutions. Veterinary Infrastructure and services of large live stock population to be increased. All remote villages are connected to all fair weather road. To be created awareness training programe through cultural and social strengths. To be created better environment in panchayat level and district level for project implementation. Reduction of unemployment through development of small and cottage industries, specially the weavers group.

Decrease of seasonal migration of people through more employment generation facilities. Electrification of non-electrified villages and remote areas. To fulfill gap of projects through coordination of various departments. To improve transportation facilities through connectivity of roads in district. To create training and capacity building programe of members of Panchayati Raj Institutions. Overcome from Weaknesses

Opportunities  Supply of food grains, vegetables, fruits, milk and animal products to nearby cities.  Value added branded food products.  N.T.F.P. based value additions particularly mahua, musli, bail, etc.  Large cattle resources  Availability of bio –diverse food crops.  Production and processing of medicinal plant derivatives.  Skill development and capacity development of community based institutions particularly SHGs forest committees and weavers community.
