Clip Art and Different Slide Layouts  Change Slide Layout to use Clip Art –Format Menu  Slide Layout option –Select one of the Clip Art layouts  Double Click on Clip Art Icon  Select desired Clip Art  Resize, reshape, and move text box and Clip Art

Automatic Date and Time. Friday, October 15, 2004, 8:19:00 AM  Place the mouse pointer in a text area and click  Insert menu –Date and time option  Choose format –Click on ok

Slide Transitions  Switch to Slide View  Select Slide (scroll bar)  Slide Show menu –Slide Transition option  Select transition (edit box)  Click on Apply Button  Use Slide Show View to see transition

Animation Effects  Switch to Slide View  Select Slide (scroll bar)  Highlight items in text box  Slide Show menu –Select Preset Animations  Select Effect  Slide Show menu –Use Animation Preview to see slide miniature window

Movies Animated Images  Insert Menu –Movie and sound pullout menu  Movie from Gallery option  When running slide show: –Click on image –Not necessary for Office 2000

Action Buttons  Slide Show pull down menu –Action Button pullout menu  Select button  Drag the pointer across the area where you want the button.  In the dialog box choose the action desired

Different Font Sizes and Colors  Highlight text.  Format pull down menu. –Font option.  Use pull down arrow to choose a different color.  Use scroll bar under Size to select a different size.  Use the Font Size pull down arrow on the toolbar.

Scanned Images  Scan image and save to disk.  Insert pull down menu. –Picture pullout menu.  From file option. –Chose file.  Move and resize.

Timing  Slide Show menu –Rehearse timing option  It is probably better to do this on a separate small presentation that is linked to

Save As Slide Show  File menu –Save as option  Select PowerPoint show (in save as type edit box)  Close PowerPoint  Double click on icon for show

Linked Presentations  Create and save a presentation.  Create a new presentation.  Create a link to the first presentation. –Use a action button on the slide show menu or use action settings on the slide show menu.  For action button you need to drag after selecting it.  For action setting you need to select something before selecting it. –Select hyperlink radio button.  Choose other PowerPoint presentation on the drop down arrow menu.  Then choose the other presentation.
