Pre Season Set achievable targets. Set tasks for various conditions. Know the routs like the back of your hand. Know how to operate your instruments. Make a flight box with ALL required equipment Get Fit. Learn the sporting code. Buy the right clothing and Equipment Do it before you do it.

Make a flight box Keep all your flying needs If you find that you are missing an item in your flight box. Make a note. Put it ON the box so that when you get home you will not forget.

Early Season and average days Fly and prepare every flight as if it were a comp, badge or record. As the weather gets better Keep an eye on the weather patterns If you see a good day looming. Be aware of the Tuggie on duty. Have a regular Tuggie who can help on weekdays.

The day before Check all the kit in the box. Drink Drink Drink. Carbohydrate Check the temp trace the night before. See you have an official observer Drive to the club and sleep overnight.

The Day Start preparation early, As you have all season. See your OO and Tuggie. Everything should be ready before 9 Study the weather and be sure that the task you set is suitable. Note the wind direction for streets. Keep cool. Don’t assume somebody else has the rope. Rest and be ready to go. Launch early, half an hour will add 40K.

In case of outlanding Don’t rush decisions.

In case of success Because you have practiced and read up you will be able to fill out the claim form and know where to send it.
