Original Project Objectives The ShelfStocker will be a robot that reads in a bar code label and then stocks the item in a particular location based on that label. Automates a lot of shipping and receiving work in a general way. Can be scaled to any size product using different bodies.

Functional Partition JStamp Amulet Sonar Motor BoardSensor Board Scanner Trigger Right Rear Wheel Left Rear Wheel Front Center Wheel Forklift Forklift Touch Sensors Front Wheel Angle Sensor Back Wheel Angle Sensors

Software Flowchart

Problems Encountered MechanicalMechanical –How to pick up an item –How to steer Event HandlingEvent Handling –DataEvent functionality was not implemented

Problems Encountered (2) ScannerScanner –Mechanical limitations –Serial port issues –Voltage levels NavagationNavagation –How to steer (part 2) –How to go straight

Final Project Results Success!Success!

What We’d Do Different Get help from a mechanical engineerGet help from a mechanical engineer Don’t ever unhook the JStamp from the ShelfStockerDon’t ever unhook the JStamp from the ShelfStocker Get a better bar code scanner soonerGet a better bar code scanner sooner Use super glueUse super glue If We Knew Then
