Heads Up Sports Switchboard This switchboard will be used to add customers to our database system and to add to reports already existing. This is a way for employees to update the company’s database and keep all records as current as possible. 3 functions: –1. you can add to the customer table –2. you can enter into the reports in order to view the employee list, the mailing labels for customers and to view orders already made –3. exit the system

Customers “Customer”By clicking on the “Customer” tab, the customer input form appears and employees can add a customer’s contact information efficiently Heads Up Sports is looking to attract baseball fans who want to represent their favorite team by wearing an authentic baseball hat

Reports “Reports”If you clicked on “Reports” on the Main Switchboard, four options would show as it does on the right “Employees”“Employees” – allows you to view the list of employed workers and their contact information “Orders”“Orders” – allows you to see the list of orders purchased by date and name of customer “Customer Mailing Labels”“Customer Mailing Labels” – a report that lists the mailing information of every customer who has purchased a hat from Heads Up Sports

Orders One of the most important reports to emphasis is the orders report This is because Heads Up Sports can track its success rate and productivity day by day by checking out the orders report This report lists first date by day, then customer ID, followed by product ID, and price paid

Marco Chavez I learned basic data basing along with extensive excel information I also learned a lot more about website building I really enjoyed learning about excel because I feel like I will be able to use it in the future

Kate Hutchinson Coming into this class, I knew nothing about building a website or about access I also learned a lot about excel that I was not aware of (i.e. IF statements) This class has made it easier for me to work with computers and I’m a lot less frustrated with my computer Definitely enjoyed working on my website and feeling like I accomplished something!

Improvements to the Class We couldn’t really think of anything, but if we had to change something… I would have liked to learn more about the use of data bases in a real world application It might be helpful to spend more time on IF statements
