ModularTe project Summary of evaluation results ITALY – ARIES FORMAZIONE Aldo Minardo, PhD

Product evaluation report The test was addressed to the main users of the course (the students), those who will “handle” the course (the teachers), and the experts. The feedback is the result of three different evaluation workshops submitted to experts, teachers and students in October-November The questions were translated into Italian to help the users to understand all the questions properly. The product evaluation consisted of 15 questions.

2. The course is well structured

3. The modules are consistently arranged

4. The level of difficulty is appropriate

5. All subject fields are adequately covered

6. The standards of quality and reliability are respected

7. Information is presented in an innovative way

8. The content is relevant for the target group

9. The training materials are of immediate usability

10. The training tools are attractive

11. The learning objectives are clear

12. The contents are up-to- date

13. The materials are of general applicability in my country

14. I would recommend/adopt this course

15. The course meets the EU accreditation/validation standards

Discussion on results The overall feedback from the questionnaire is positive; Some criticism came from students (clearness of the methodological concept, usability of the training material); On the contrary, most enthusiasm came from technology teachers.

The students’ response The highest scores for the students were: The course is well structured The modules are consistently arranged The level of difficulty is appropriate All subject fields are adequately covered The training tools are attractive The items which the students felt more uncertain were The course meets the EU accreditation/validation standards (mostly –”I don’t know”) I would recommend/adopt this course (mostly –”I don’t know”) The training materials are of immediate usability

The Teachers’ response The highest scores for the teachers were: All subject fields are adequately covered The standards of quality and reliability are respected Information is presented in an innovative way The tasks are helpful and appropriate The learning objectives are clear The areas where teachers are less enthusiastic (but still positive) are: the materials are of general applicability in my country (many–”I don’t know”) the course meets the EU accreditation/validation standards (good but not excellent)

Specialists - Academicians The specialists agree with almost all the statements, but the highest scores were: The methodological concept is clear The course is well structured The modules are consistently arranged Less enthusiasm, though above average, is shown in the item: I would recommend/adopt this course
