Logical/Mathematical (number smart) Verbal/Linguistics (word smart) Interview a character from your book. Write at least ten questions that will give the character the opportunity to discuss his/her thoughts during the five key events. However you choose to present your interview is up to you. Prepare an oral report of 5 minutes. Give a brief summary of the plot and describe the personality of one of the main characters. Be prepared for questions from the class. After reading Perseus and Ares make an illustrated time line showing the sequential order of events in the story and draw a map showing the locations of where the story took place. Create a concept map to show the five key events in sequential order and include The characters, setting and problem of each event.
Musical/Rhythmic (music smart) Write and perform an original song that tells about the five events in the story and perform it to your class. Visual/ Spatial (picture smart) Create a scrapbook. Make several sketches of some of the scenes in the book and label them. Provide a written description. Use a graphic program such as the accessories paint program or Kids Pix Deluxe to create your five scenes.
Bodily/Kinesthetic (body smart) Create a PowerPoint of your five key events to show to the class. Make sure to include graphics that you have drawn in a paint program. Use Lego to design your five events and explain to the class the meaning of each scene. Intrapersonal (self-smart) Videotape yourself describing the five key events of the story and comment about how each one would make you feel if you where one of the characters involved. Interpersonal (social smart) Describe the key events to your classmates and formulate a debate in the class that relates to the content in the book.
