Concept and Motivation People have different musical tastes and hence appreciate different radio stations RadioSense is a device that is integrated with a tuner that communicates nearby music devices and based on the music library switches to the most popular radio station Applications: Find a radio station for a car of friends/coworkers/ strangers Car Service/Public Transport radio control by majority Eventually locale specific - helps you find a radio station when renting a car away from home Can also apply to DJs - poll all users in a club so the track selection keeps majority interested

Competitive Analysis Pandora Makes song suggestions based on a user's favorite songs Requires user input iLike Gets songs from friend's iTunes libraries and makes suggestions to the user based on that Integrated with iTunes but not with radio Others: Musicovery, StumbleAudio, Jango, etc.

Technical Specifications Our project will require the following: Smartphone (preferably Android) o Small app to search user's music and upload info Radio Connection o ArduinoBT (Atmega168 + Bluetooth module, ~$150) o FM Radio Arduino Shield ($30) o Range Selection Switch & Display o Battery Connector, Power Switch o Voltage Regulator (5.5V max) Server-side Processing o Query music & radio station database
