Texas State Dinosaur

Tracking Dinosaurs We will be scientists and use the same processes they do by –Observing –Predicting –Experimenting –Drawing conclusions about animals and events that happened millions of years ago.

What can we learn from tracks?

Strange Discovery in Massachusetts! 1802

A strange and mysterious track found in South Hadley, Massachusetts

Sauropods dinosaurs that walk on 4 legs (mainly plant-eaters – herbivores and usually larger than other dinosaurs).

Theropods are bird-like, they walk mainly on 2 legs and eat meat (carnivores).

Field Trip!

Concepts (TEKS etc.) Scientific method Sequencing Cause and effect Observations Mathematics – measurement, conversion, proportions etc. ????????
