Preferences and Permissions Staff Preferences / User Administration Login and then choose –Staff Menu –User Admin –Edit User Accounts to edit preferences for that user –Add A User to create a new user account and set up preferences Patron Preferences are set up in a similar manner

Cataloguing Permissions Both of these permissions must be ‘turned off’

Edit user accounts To edit a user account just click on the username

Edit User Preferences To edit the user’s preferences, just click on the link

Set different results displays Do staff require the OutLook banner? Default setting at login, can be set up for different users What type of search setup does the user require? User Preferences

ILL Participant Record There are many fields in the ILL participant record The ELN recommends that the following information be entered and kept up-to-date –Address information –Holiday List –Pickup Locations –ISO 10160/ CISTI Account –Library Homepage and Catalogue URLs Other fields can be left blank

Modifying the AGent/ISO Lender Strings With a federated search, you are able to view results from various databases If needed you are able to modify or combine the lender strings for that particular request UBC and SFU are ISO ILL lending libraries At present UVic is not yet set-up at an ISO ILL lender
