TLWeb Project Building a Web-based Learning Community in a Liberal Arts University A 2-year UGC funded project TDG received: HK$ 2.6m Commenced in Nov 1999
Four interrelated components: An easy-to-use web-based T&L interface Workshops to train teachers to use the system to deliver materials and encourage interaction with and between students Training workshops and hands-on web-based development projects to empower students An online resource library of multimedia materials for course web sites TLWeb Project
What is WebCT? WebCT is a tool that facilitates the creation of sophisticated World Wide Web-based educational environments. It can be used to create entire on-line courses, or to simply publish materials that supplement existing courses. WebCT is developed by the University of British Columbia of Canada.
As of to date: 55 staff have participated in the training workshops 59 web courses have been created about half of our students are using TLWeb in their learning TLWeb at Lingnan
