Problem Statement What is Wikipedia? –A set of encyclopedias online –Collaborative Content Creation: Anyone can create new articles or edit existing articles –All versions are kept A content-driven reputation system for Wikipedia Author –Content-driven: based on edits given by subsequent users

Solution Gain reputation: The edits the author performs to Wikipedia articles are preserved by subsequent authors Lose reputation: the author performs to Wikipedia articles are rolled back or undone in short order Two measures: –Text life -> Text –Edit life -> Reorganization

Questions Content-Driven? Indirect way of getting ratings from subsequent users

Related Discussion User-driven Vs Content-driven –Amazon, Ebay Vs this system Chronological system Vs Fixpoint System –This system, Amazon, Ebay Vs PageRank, HITS Edit Life: Take the organization of text into consideration, no longer just a bag of words
