History First Administration in 1985 Administered every 3 years across SUNY Shortened and changed in 2003, some additional changes in 2006 Up to 17 additional local questions possible

Purpose: Study Student Life and Learning College impressions and plans Academic environment, experiences and facilities College services, facilities and environment Frequency of selected academic experiences College outcomes

Using SOS Data Examine current status of and changes in student satisfaction Encourage dialogue about quality of student life and learning Identify programs, services and policies for improvement and/or modification

Four Ways to Look at Data Look at our high and low mean scores in each section Compare Oneonta mean scores to those of sector colleges (n=11) and state operated campuses (n=26) Compare our 2006 scores with 2003 scores for significant changes Look at our rank in the system (campuses agree not to use this information in press releases or marketing the College)
