Conservation Biology On the Colorado Plateau

Purpose: To provide an organization linking the region's widely dispersed scientific community, and others interested in the study and conservation of the Colorado Plateau's living resources.

Functions: Networking ~ Creating a connected community of practicing Conservation Biologists Communications ~ Providing a voice for CB with media, elected leaders, students, and the general public Organizing ~ Linking individuals working on pressing issues, often in isolation, so that their work can be better coordinated and more effective in influencing policy and management Synthesizing ~ Providing expert opinion and review on pressing conservation issues
