Calorimetry Study Update Jaewon Park University of Rochester MINERvA/Jupiter Group Meeting, Mar 22, 2006

Configuration Single particle generator  3GeV proton beam  90 deg, 45deg, 40deg Remove ID by shrinking scint thickness and replace the space with thick air absorber Simulation seems to be more unstable with this anomalous configuration (often die before 2K events) X U X V ab1 ab2 ab3 ab4 OD frame

3GeV proton beam, 90 deg, with gaps (require at least one hit in OD) Not normalized (different number of events)

3GeV proton beam, 90 deg, without gaps Not normalized (different number of events) Same (many OD layers)

45deg, wide frame Not normalized (different number of events) 40 deg, many layers No gaps

40 deg, with ID Not normalized (different number of events) 20 deg, with ID (Only ID resolution) E_resolution

Diagnostics Usage of simulation might be incorrect  Some of ntuple(HADRON block) is empty with single particle generator  Tried with ntuple input mode forcing HADRON block recovered but even more unexpected result)  OD tracking seems to work only in some range of angle It seems that dxPassiveCal does not depend on proton angle particle ironscint
