Remodece 4th Project Meeting September 2007, Coimbra Overview of the metering activities in Germany Barbara Schlomann, Fraunhofer ISI Annette Roser, BSR-Sustainability

Measurements in Germany  Beginning of measurements: January 2007  End (scheduled) of measurement: December 2007/January 2008  Number of households already selected (September 2007): 70  Measurement equipment: 10 lampmeters, 8 wattmeters, 3 energy monitors per household on average  Focus: TV (03), audiovisual appliances (04), computer (05), peripheral computer appliances (05) and lighting (08 – 12)  By request: Cold appliances, washing machines etc., cooking and other appliances

Number of households: Status quo (September 2007)

First overview of interim results  Average number of persons per household: 2.93  Average consumption per day and household: 9.84 kWh  Percentage of measured consumption in total consumption: between 30 and 60 % (in most cases between 50 and 60 %)  Average consumption per day and person: 3.38 kWh range from 1.28 to 9.52 kWh  Average daily stand-by consumption per household: 0.42 kWh
