Silver and Petroleum By Matthew Goforth

Silver Silver is a precious medal that is used for many different uses for example it is used for: Jewelry Silverware Silver fillings And some electronic devices for its conductivity

Silver The use of silver effects the environment because we have to dig mines to get silver. Doing this effects ecosystems of the area where this mine is created. This makes local organisms lose their homes and food sources.

Petroleum Petroleum is a fossil fuel and is used for many things, like: Gasoline Plastics Kerosene And heating oil

Petroleum Petroleum is a fossil fuel, so when it is burned, it releases pollutants into the atmosphere Petroleum can also pollute the soil too Petroleum effects organisms by poisoning them and killing their food sources

Petroleum For Petroleum to be used as an energy source, it must be refined and burned in a power plant where its used to heat water and make steam to turn a generator. The burning of petroleum releases harmful gases into the air though.

Petroleum The main danger of transporting petroleum is the risk of oil spills. Oil spills are devastating to local wild life no matter where. If you spill oil in the ocean, it takes a lot of work to put the ecosystem back to normal The other risk of transporting Petroleum is that the fact that it can catch on fire easily and fire is a huge hazard to anyone transporting Petroleum

Petroleum An incident where petroleum caused damage to the environment when Petroleum was spilled in the Persian gulf in Kuwait on January 26, 1991 Where 240,000,000 gallons was spelt into the gulf
