Then he speaks of the New Jerusalem in America; of the gathering of people to it before he comes; and of his coming to dwell in the midst of his people. ‘ And then ’— after the gathering of Israel to the New Jerusalem —‘ shall the power of heaven come down among them. ’ This refers to the Second Coming. ‘ And I also will be in the midst. ’ He shall reign personally upon the earth. ‘ And then ’— after his return and during the Millennium —‘ shall the work of the Father commence at that day, even when this gospel shall be preached among the remnant of this people. ’ There is to be a millennial gathering of the Lehite people. ‘ Verily I say unto you, at that day ’— note it well, the day involved is millennial —‘ shall the work of the Father commence among all the dispersed of my people, yea, even the tribes which have been lost, which the Father hath led away out of Jerusalem. ’ The Ten Tribes are to return after the Second Coming.
