Existing Solution 1 Tracks Location (GPS) Able to take other data inputs BDPW already uses Cirus spreader controls Solutions exist for integrating other plow sensors Drive-by Download (Wi-Fi) Not real time No continuing service charges Scalable Maintainable Long-term

Existing Solution 2 Tracks Location (GPS) Sends data over digital radio channel Real-time Service Charge to use radio network Limited capabilities for integration with other sensors Scalable

Our Proposed Solution 1. Cirus Controls Logger collects data from sensors (GPS, road temp, salt spreading, plow) 2. Toughbook collects data from Cirus Logger 3. Data sent to BDPW by Toughbook via Verizon Wireless Broadband PC Card 4. Data collected at BDPW servers, displayed using ArcGIS for customer support / management

Why this Solution Collects Required Data Location Sensors for Road temp, etc can be integrated via Cirus Logger Real Time Coverage for data transmission Provides Display for Driver Current Location, Covered Route, Proposed Route Can endure rugged operating environment

Disadvantages to Our Solution Monthly service charge for wireless broadband service High cost of Toughbook ~$5000 Display larger than needed
