Motivation  When we use public ambient display, Can we share the screen with others? Can display detect where am I watching? Can my information be categorized by public or private and then represent it with appropriate visualization technique?

Detecting person’s identity  Several cameras on the wall or the ceiling  Detect how may people & who they are.  Detect person’s gaze (e.g. Where am I watching.)

Display personal information  Decide information as private or public  Select different visualization technique e.g.) - public info: display contents, etc. - private info: display some symbols

Sharing display  If there is only one person in the room, he or she will use whole display space  All the information could be public.

Sharing display  If there are more than two people in the room, they can divide the display.  Based on the relationship of the people in the room, the system decided information’s category Friends / Family / Visitor etc.

Sharing display  If they share some information together, display sharing information visualization.

Input Device  To interact with the display, we may think about following devices: Remote Controller (TV/VCR remote) Cellular Phone PDA (Palm/PocketPC) Specially Designed Device (e.g. 3D Blocks)

Input Device – 3D Blocks
