Aim of the Product To Target Health conscious people or vegetarians who are looking for a good snack-on-the-go. A vegetarian diet may help to reduce the risk of developing medical conditions such as obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. ( ) Vegetarianism is becoming an increasing lifestyle, either for health reasons, religion, or political beliefs. –According to a 1991 Gallup Poll conducted for the National Restaurant Association, about 20% of the population looks for a restaurant with vegetarian items when they eat out –According to the 1999 Poll over half of the population (57%) sometimes, often, or always orders a vegetarian item »30% Increase in interest

Market Potential An increasing number of people are looking toward healthier or vegetarian meals, causing for an increase in demand on this type of product. An estimated 30% increase in demand of vegetarian type meals, would increase output of stomboli’s by 30%, therefore increasing profit by 30%.

Anticipated Profit If Philadelphia Fresh Bake Co. sells about 1000 cases per month, (depending on demand from consumers) 32 per case, selling at $.90 = $28800 per month. A 30% increase on this profit would be $8640 per month Making the anticipated profit for the month to be $37440

Name: Grilled Vegetable and Swiss Stromboli Ingredients: Pizza Dough Swiss Cheese Zucchini Yellow Squash Portabella mushrooms Olive Oil Balsamic Vinegar Salt Pepper Preparation: Clean and slice vegetables Toss in Balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper Grill Vegetables Cut vegetables into small pieces Roll out pizza dough Spread Grated Swiss cheese and vegetables onto dough Fold Dough over and shape stromboli Cook for 10 minutes at 400 C

Packaging will be made of LDPE for a primary packaging. Secondary Packaging is paperboard.

Shelf-life Recommended shelf-life for this product would be 1 year. The biggest problem resulting from the high water content that comes from the vegetables in the filling. Any partial defrosting and refreezing could cause the ice crystals to be come very large and damage the products. In order to prevent such occurrences the product should be frozen immediately and stored frozen until ready to use.
