Stern Emerging Markets Association’s (EMA) mission: –To promote education and the exchange of information and ideas about economics, finance, politics, and commerce in developing countries –To create forums for discussion about emerging economies in the academic community –To create recruiting relationships and provide contacts with emerging markets professionals and institutions

20 VP of Study Trip Responsibilities –Overseeing bidding process and travel agency selection –Working with agency to select itinerary –Networking with companies to set up corporate visits –Working closely with the VP of Finance –Publicizing trip to Stern community Skills –Extremely well-organized –Attention to detail –Able to manage multiple stakeholders Perks –Looks great on resume –Well-known around Stern

21 GBC Conference VP Roles Seeking 2 MBA1s to serve as Conference VPs Unique opportunity to gain access to high-powered executives at companies providing speakers and sponsors, as well as members of Stern community with global focus Great resume booster; demonstrating organizational capabilities Responsibilities include –Finding speakers for panels –Arranging sponsorships for panels or conference –Working with sponsors and speakers to maximize our value-add –Taking care of logistical details –Being available on February 23, 2007 Requirements - Strong organizational skills Ability to adapt quickly and respond to ever changing situations Large supply of enthusiasm for challenging work Desire to help increase international awareness at Stern Past conference experience looked upon favorably

22 VP Finance Responsibilities (~3-5 hours/week) –Maintain fiscal solvency –Manage budget and track P&L –Determine cost feasibility of EMA initiatives –Liaise with SCORP, development office and finance leaders in other clubs Benefits –Looks great on resume (finance + international) –Involved in all of EMA’s activities

23 Marketing, Membership & Technology Unique opportunity to work in a cross-functional role Requirements - Good communication skills Positive and enthusiastic attitude Good work ethic – Take ownership and get things done Build awareness and momentum about GBC, Study Trek and Study Tour by working hand-in-hand with respective VPs Making sure the EMA website always puts its best foot forward in every event Handling membership related issues for full-time and part-time students and the alumni Come up with concrete ideas on how to develop EMA as a prominent group – both in terms of stern-wide visibility and career opportunities

24 DC Trek and Corporate Relations VP Role Opportunity to work directly with prestigious institutions to arrange DC Trek and set agenda for the visits Work closely with Alumni Affairs and Office of Career Development Initiate first Stern trip to the United Nations Responsibility for maintaining and strengthening corporate contacts and relationships Requirements - Good communication skills Excellent organizational and logistical skills

25 Events and Alumni Relations VP Role Opportunity to work directly with heads of Stern alumni chapters in DC, New York and abroad Responsibility for choosing speakers, panelists, agendas and venues for EMA events Requires working closely with Stern Alumni Affairs and Special Events departments to coordinate events
