Katherine Haefele Edu 505 Spring 2010

 Many Americans are currently overweight and are now seeking to find healthier lifestyles. After the Easter season, full of candy and desserts, Americans come to realize summer is soon ahead. This means more shorts, tank tops, flip flops, and swim suits! Many people seek professional help to get fit for the summer season and visit websites, gyms, and weight loss centers to get back into shape.

 You have been hired as a personal weight loss consultant at a top fitness agency, “Fitness For All.” An overweight 29 year old woman has entered your agency and has been assigned to you. She currently weighs 200lbs and is 5’6”. She wants to shed 30 pounds before July and has an unlimited budget. She is known for “yo-yo” dieting and losing and gaining weight very quickly. This is the first time she has enlisted professional help. You must create a diet/workout plan for her over the next three months that if followed strictly, will help her meet her goal weight. Plan a diet plan using a currently known plan (ie. Weight Watchers) and a work out regimen that won’t hinder with her busy career.

 Find a diet plan that will work for your client. Some excellent plans can be found at these websites below: QodtlaxJQ -5QodtlaxJQ

 Create a daily work out plan that your client can adhere to. Include helpful hints and tips you have found at these websites:

 Using a calendar from Microsoft Publisher, create a plan including meals and exercise ideas for each day. Include at least two days off each week.  Helpful Hint: Begin slowly with workouts and slowly increase the amount of intense exercise each week.

 Each student will submit one calendar that includes daily exercise and a meal plan for their client. Students will be evaluated by the amount of resources used from the given websites as well as any other sites they find. Students who do not use any resources will not prosper in points awarded.

 At this point, you have gain a vast amount of knowledge of a healthy lifestyle! Congrats!  I hope you now know which foods are best for us and different fitness techniques that will all allow us to live healthier lives.
