Report on E-165 Steve Schnetzer MCC Meeting June 28

Last 24 Hours Completed high intensity running Checked linearity of PMT’s PMT’s at low gain x 10 amp complete set of runs (0,2,4,6,8,10,12,14 r.l.) Started lateral shower profile measurement Diamond detectors Removed optical box 9 measurements in x 4(3) measurements in z 4 targets (2,6,10,14 r.l)

Diamond Shower Profile Plot agreement with Geant calculation distance from beam axis (cm)

Diamond Linearity good linearity C of charge deposited ! 1 A over 100 ns

Diamond Linearity 10 times more charge with 6 r.l. still good linearity charge density lower study density effect by taking data with different beam spot size

Next 24 Hours Continue lateral shower profile measurement Install and debug ionization chamber
