Sports will help stop child obesity By Cailey and Emmett.

Thesis Do you play any sports? We believe that kids should play sports because it is very good for their health, self esteem, and it is a lot of fun, even if you are not “the best”.

Reasons and Facts According to Y-coach.com the number one one reason to have kids play sports is to encourage a healthy life style. Better health USA says that the amount of children that are overweight or obese has doubled in the last 30 years. According to Play Kids Sports.com, kids should play sports because it is healthy and fun.

People or systems trying to stop childhood obesity. The NFL sponsors a system called play 60, Play 60 encourages kids to play outside at least 60 minutes a day. Michelle Obama has made it her goal to stop childhood obesity in a system called Let’s Move.

Play 60 articles/september/finally-the-words-to-the-nfl-play60- commercial.html articles/september/finally-the-words-to-the-nfl-play60- commercial.html

Counter Argument Some people might say that kids could get to focused on sports and not school Also people think that playing sports will make kids want to watch them on TV or play sports video games We think a true sports fan will want to play sports instead of watch them, and kids should know that school comes before sports. SCHOOL BEFORE SPORTS

closing We think sports benefit kids health and social well being. Kids should play sports and schools should offer more sports than just volleyball and basketball, kids would be more open to try if there were more of them offered.
