The Art of Tsunami

Soliciting Aid and Awareness

Art Inspired from the 2004 tsunami

Mini-series 2004 Tsunami BBC2 and Warner Brothers’ HBO filmed a two-part television mini-series.

Victims to be extras: “It’s disgusting. I almost had a heart attack when I saw a bunch of wrecked cars and a longtail boat up by the bridge. The first moment was pretty terrible-real déjà vu. I thought maybe it was a flash flood. If there had been a simple warning sign that this was staged for the cameras there would have been a lot less offense caused.” Victims to be extras: “It’s disgusting. Unequal pay, inaccurate representation

Art has had a mostly positive impact for the 2004 tsunami survivors. And despite the problems with the mini- series, perhaps it can act as a record to warn future generations of the hazards of the earth.
