LinkSceem High Performance Computing for the Eastern Mediterranean * Most research requires computers, and, in a growing number of fields, High Performance Computing,(HPC)‏High Performance Computing * Examples are climate modeling, biology, materials science, economics, even the Humanities. * The EU-funded project Linksceem aims to assess computational needs in the scientificLinksceem community of the Eastern Mediterranean, in order to coordinate HPC resources in the region, and plan the access of users to HPC facilities both in the region and EU-wide. The Cyprus Institute ( is devloping a Computation-based Science and Technology Research Centre (CSTRC) that will include a tier-1 HPC facility. CSTRC will be a regional HPC center designed primarily to serve the needs of Cyprus and the Eastern Mediterranean region. If interested in further information please write Dr. Amnon Stupp
