Here are some historian facts about my Grandpa. First, I am going to tell you what the ethnic history of my Grandpa is. My Grandpa is from Warsaw, Poland. Also, my great Grandpa is from Warsaw, Poland. My Grandpa is Jewish. He celebrates the Jewish holidays just like me. Next, I`m going to tell you what life was like where they were living. In Poland, the schools only had one room and were very simple. There where no malls. Instead, there were very small owned stores. In Poland, there were cars, but most people didn't have them. My Grandpa took the bus. Third, this is what was going on in the world when they left their home. There was a war that just ended. It was World War II. There were a lot of people leaving Europe to go to other countries. Jewish people especially were leaving. Jewish people had been killed just because they were Jewish! Lastly, this is what it was like in the United States when he arrived. There was not a war in the United States when they arrived. There were a lot of Jews, but they were still a minority. By law Jews were treated equally, but people still treated them unfairly. Those are some historian facts about my Grandpa.

Here are some economist facts about my Grandpa. First, I am going to tell you about the job he had before he came to the United States. He was a printer. Printers did not get paid very much. They did not get paid very much because they did not have the minimum wage laws in Poland like we have here. He was very poor. My Grandpa did not need a college degree to work. He learned by being an apprentice. Second, I`m going to tell you how he made a living in the United States. My Grandpa did not have a job when he came to the United States, but soon after he arrived his uncle gave him a job at his dry cleaning place. He got money from the German government, but it was not enough to live off of. He did not bring money because all his belongings had been taken away by the Nazis. Those are the economist facts about my Grandpa.

Here are some geographer facts about my Grandpa. First, I'm going to tell you about what Poland's geography was like. Poland did have mountains to ski and snowboard on. Poland also had beaches to swim in because Poland borders the Baltic Sea. In Poland there were suburbs just like we have. Next, I'm going to tell you were he settled in the United States. My Grandpa arrived in New York City. He moved to Detroit to be with his uncle. My Grandfather moved to the city. Lastly, I`m going to tell you about how my Grandpa got to the United States. He travelled by ship. My Grandfather needed to get a visa because he was not a citizen and he wanted to stay in the United States. He did not stop in another country on the way to the United States. Those are some geographer facts about my Grandfather.

Here are some political scientist facts about my Grandpa. First, I`m going to tell you about the political reason my Grandpa came here. He came after the war ended. He could not escape unfortunately. He came here because his whole family in Poland had been killed, and he wanted to leave all the bad memories behind. Also, he came to the United States because he had family here. My Grandpa did like the idea of coming here because his uncle told him that Jews were treated fairly here, and he could have a better life here. Second, I am going to tell you how my Grandpa tried to fit into American culture. He tried to wear the same clothes as everyone else. My Grandpa learned to speak English by watching television. He tried lots of new foods when he came here, but he still had favorites that his mom made in Poland. Those are some political scientist facts about my Grandpa.
