Bezirksregierung Münster Intention and Motivation  Description of situation concerning Land Readjustment in Europe: -a very diffuse and terminologically confuse scene -different urban and rural land readjustment tools -additional complications regarding Land Consolidation (on the one hand: only as a redesign of parcels, on the other hand: combined with a bundle of infrastructural measures)  Description of scientific or specific activities concerning Land Consolidation by -FIG -FAO -some high schools, particularly in Germany and Netherlands -Institutional INTERREG III C cooperation of some European agencies

Bezirksregierung Münster Need for Research  Systematic survey of existing relevant Land Readjustment approaches in Europe  Comparative analysis and evaluation of these approaches  (probably: case studies and inclusion of external experts)  Modelling of an „Ideal Typically Land Readjustment Tool“ as core of a tool box with additional accompanying instruments
