Lego Solar House Based on the Solar Schools Programme

Operations: To construct a house from lego. To place the house in the sun.

Actions Involved: To discover and explore the effects and usage of solar energy. To create a circuit using a solar panel/ battery, lightbulb, and wires. To compare and contrast the benefits and negative effects of using a battery and solar panels. To observe the effects of light on the solar panel/lights in the house.

Goals To illustrate the positive usage of solar panels and renewable energy. To recognise the sun as an energy source. To introduce renewable energy to the wider community through children relating concepts to friends and family.
