I.God has ____________ us A.Definition: A releasing effected by a payment of ransom B.Key word: __________________ Ephesians 1:7 in him we have redemption through his blood NIV Romans 3:24-25 Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he redeemed us from the penalty for our sins.

Galatians 3:13 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." John 8:34-36 Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin. 35 A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son is part of the family forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.

_______________________ – Hebrews 12:6 – It's the child he loves that he disciplines; the child he embraces, he also corrects. ________________________________ – 1 John 2:1-2 – My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. _______________________ by his blood – He pays our price/penalty – Revelation 5:9

1 PETER 1:18-20 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. NIV

II.God has __________ us A.Definition: To pardon, remit of a penalty B.God’s Redemption and forgiveness is based upon his grace: 1.Getting something that we don’t deserve 2.A gift that enables us to do good.

What about my forgiveness? WE DON’T The key to remember is this: God can judge a person’s intentions because He knows what’s in a person’s heart (1 Samuel 16:7; Hebrews 4:12-13)… WE DON’T.

ONE FINAL THOUGHT Living a redeemed life isn’t about how you are like the world, but how you are ________________
